Solved Downloaded Adblocker+...This actually produced MORE ADS. Help, pls

Hi THE...I think I screwed up - Delfix has been performed, and I tried to download Adblock again, twice! But, it's not showing in my program list, and neither did I get the "ABP has been updated" page upon reboot --- AND ALL ADS have reappeared everywhere!!! what did I do incorrectly? Oh dear...

OK...20 mins later ---I'd downloaded ABP yet again; got the "enable? toolbar" at the bottom on reboot, and its in my programs list - yay! - and no ads!!! AGAIN - thanks SO much for your kind assistance (and I hope for this fix to be correct) ))
