Does anyone know if the HTTPS scanning provided by Bitdefender works in other browsers (outside of Firefox, Edge, and Chrome)? I'm curious if the feature still works in other Chromium browsers (Brave and Vivaldi). I'm having trouble locating a definitive answer. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Yes, Bitdefender's HTTPS scanning feature should work with other Chromium-based browsers like Brave and Vivaldi, as they share the same core as Google Chrome. However, specific issues may arise due to differences in how these browsers are built. Always ensure you're running the latest version of Bitdefender and your chosen browser.

@SeriousHoax is true, only Chrome, Firefox and Edge are 100% supported by Bitdefender's web protection and related features...
That is a similar story to Kaspersky, there are the same supported browsers such as only Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

Thank you both! I understand not having full product support for browsers with a smaller market share. However, it feels unacceptable in 2024 to not at least scan the entire page for malicious content (especially on other Chromium-based browsers). I'll be looking at Avast/AVG or ESET.

Outside of Firefox, Edge, and Chrome, Bitdefender will still block websites that are blacklisted by them. But things like malicious javascript loaded in a compromised website will not be blocked.
I'm using Floorp now and I tested the AMTSO phishing webpage and BD did not react.
