Troubleshoot ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR When using VPN extensions

Symptoms still persist as stated above

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

I have tried troubleshooting with other extensions to see if there are any interference from them but so far even with just zenmate and n other extensions on I get the error. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall chrome.

It might be something to do with the settings because after I reinstall it I would sync the data from the cloud to have all my chrome settings back.

List content of Hosts
List IP configuration

List Users, Partitions and Memory size
List Devices (problems only)

Are you running Adguard or any AV that scans/filters HTTPS/SSL?
