ESET Online Scanner Review

I am using the free ESET Online Scanner, trying to locate a rootkit virus on my computer, and the thing has been running for over 7 hours!!
What is worse is that for the last 3 hours it has said that it was 99% done, but WON"T FINISH??
What in the world is this thing doing that takes THIS LONG???? :huh:

Online scanners are not the best tools to find rootkits.

It may be stuck, try a different tool as Littlebits suggested. If you are still having trouble, post a thread in our Malware Removal Assistance forum and we will help you out
