New features:
Advanced memory scanner provides protection against obfuscated threats
Vulnerability shield protects your computer from network threats exploiting vulnerabilities in communication protocols
Improved cleaning of rootkits ensures that even in case of infection with persistent malware, the system will be restored to a working malware-free state
Device control allows for controlling access to a variety of devices and peripherals
Automatic first time scan cleans potential malware on the computer and improves performance of future scans

Starting from June 11, each week ESET will draw 100 ESET Smart Security beta testers who will be awarded a one-year ESET Smart Security license. The contest ends on July 11, 2013 with total of 500 licenses to give away!

Final version will probably be released close to that date but since it is a computer generated trial key with an expiration date attached,it should last to expiration. It would be the full version but just say "Trial Version".However the trial key will also work for versions 5 & 6 so using this http://malwaretips.com/Thread-ESET-Password-Decoder the password can be obtained from the beta since it is hidden once the beta version is installed.I will leave it at that for you to draw your own conclusion.

Nice giveaway! I started testing v7. The possibilities to win a license seems considerable..

I'm just wondering if the "Username" embedded in the trial starts with EAV-XXXXXXX or TRIAL-XXXXXXX?

Because if it starts with TRIAL, you'll end up with lots of small blue rectangles with the word TRIAL on them everywhere on the GUI, even on the desktop notifications.

It's a nice workaround/trick nevertheless.

The trial version is the same in every way as the regular version, aside from the GUI differences.Eset's trial versions are fully functional versions with no differences in features from the paid version.

That's correct.

Maybe this will sound silly, but I try to avoid the TRIAL ones whenever I have an option, I just dislike that blue thing all over the GUI, even on the desktop notifications, but that's just me.
