Remaining malware in the folder were executed & I didn't see a single detection from Eset.
Proactive seems weak & non-existent.

Popular AVs are tested by testing organizations & many reviewers.

There are couple free new AVs with good third party engine, In-House engine, etc...
I think these needs to be tested for their effectiveness.

I would like to see tests of these free new AVs.

Thanks elizabeth johnson. I have been using ESS for a couple of years and NOD32 for years before that. My experience with testing almost every security product to come around the bend is that nothing else can quite match ESS for its blend of protection, lightness, remediation, and comprehensiveness. It's not necessarily the best in every category but it comes close enough for me. If you configure it properly it's a beast.
