Hello, this is a short tutorial on Eset SysInspector
ESET SysInspector is a portable program that can analyze in a very detailed and thorough your operating system looking for any problems and threats. The program is integrated into the Nod antivirus and security suites, but can be downloaded separately from this address:
http://www.eset.com/int/download/utilities/detail/family/3/
ESET SysInspector is not an antivirus, but it can help in case of need or suspicious behavior on your computer, does not remove the problems found and not everything that is actually a threat, if you're not experienced, save the final report and send it to who can make good decisions.
Operation
Once you accept the conditions Wizard of the license and create a text file that contains it, in the folder from which you launched the program.
You start the analysis of the system which is not really very fast.
In the first screen you can find all processes running at the time of writing with information about them.
Network connections are all active programs that you are connecting to the Internet and the address to which they point.
Important entries in the registry, find some old items of programs that I uninstalled and other programs still present, but considered unknown by SysInspector.
Services include statewide operating system services, if something seems strange we click with the right mouse button and search for information online or open the folder that contains it. The same also for drivers in the section just below
Among the activities I find system planning, even here, various items of programs that I now uninstalled for some time, but they had left some traces in the system.
In the system there are numerous details about the operating system, installed software and updates and various other things.
File monitoring in detail the main operating system folders if there are strange and unrecognized file.
At the end of the analysis we can save a report in Xml format, not really readable, which can then be compared with a previous file to see if there are differences and new suspicious things. Just go to File – Compare reports and select the previous report.
Conclusions
ESET SysInspector is certainly easy to use, since it does not require any installation, it is not easy to understand, at least in some parts, however since it is also able to detect all hidden, rootkits and boot sector infections (MBR) hard disk included.
Regards
