Hi what is the new service eset forwarder ? Is it needed and can it be disabled?

Installed 16.1.14
Since I installed 16.1.14 I see in task manager Eset Forwarder what is that?
There seems to be an issue with the firewall under certain conditions after upgrading to 16.2.11. ESET is quickly preparing a patch for 16.2.13.

I am using nod32 now trying it ,so far all good.

Disappointing, to say the least.
Yes, they don't seem to have handled the transition to the new firewall very well. Maybe not enough testing before launch?
Also interesting is the approach that with the upgraded module there is initially less functionality than the current version has. It will only get to the original level of configuration options with incremental updates. I've noticed this in discussions with several products.
Is this an optimal development procedure?
