Here are some info on their Deep Guard feature :
Proactive protection technology that employs behavioral analysis and "in-the-cloud" computing to provide instant protection against new threats

How does it work?
- F-Secure DeepGuard detects when a Windows application is launched.
- The new Network Lookup feature asks the "cloud" about the application.
- The "cloud" answers instantly within a fraction of a second!
- DeepGuard takes the appropriate action based on the cloud's answer: Good applications are allowed and bad applications are blocked.

If you click on "Open list of monitored programs" , you get this window...Wich is great if you want to block a piece of malware that F-Secure might miss.

What I would like to see in the 2012 version :
-Cloud scaning & reputation
-A powerfull HIPS which is disabled by default and can be enabled per user request ,like in Vipre Antivirus Premium,just to keep F-Secure user friendly.

This company has been round a long time, it's nice to see them back on track (let's hope they stay good enough)... Do they offer trials, if so will give it a test to see what its like so can suggest maybe to some family members & friends who wish to just plug in and forget.

Thumbs up on the HIPS wish. Every product that doesn't have one needs one urgently.

The only thing I don't like about F-Secure is that it has a high memory usage. Other than that it is pretty nice.

Cloud Scanning is already in F secure, in its deepguard

There product line 2011 made a success and a major improvements.
