Version 25.5

Released June 2025

VPN support for ARM64

VPN functionality has been added for ARM64 systems. Some features, such as VPN bypass and OpenVPN, are not yet supported.

Other improvements

  • When Device Protection updates are over 7 days old, all automatic protections of Device Protection are disabled (and cannot be enabled by the user). This is a new Microsoft requirement, allowing Windows Defender to take over system protection. After the successful installation of a new update, the protections will be automatically enabled again.

Bug fixes

  • Resolved an issue where exclusions for network (UNC) paths did not work.
  • Addressed crashes of UnifiedSDK.Service.exe on certain systems.
  • Fixed a crash (BSOD) occurring on specific systems (fix originally released in version 25.4 MR1).
  • Improved browser extension detection in Chromium-based browsers.
  • Made the "Suspicious page modification" detection less sensitive.
  • Fixed an issue where VPN was greyed out and stuck on Loading… state.
  • Fixed an issue where VPN prevented access to internal network after sleep.

Got it, thank you @Lord Ami Nice to have the extensions in the app confirm with Chrome and Edge that they are installed, even though they were actually active.
If connected, the onboard VPN will disconnect during the update, I suppose to connect to the right server for the apps installed location.

Was there a thread I may have missed or forgotten about, regarding this and Windows Security/Defender? From the v25.5 release notes.
