New Update F-Secure v26.6 Public Release

Which I've had to correct Gemini and Google AI (Chrome search bar) 4-5 times who keep reciting DeepGuard, and I have to remind them of it's Behavior detection by Avira's SDK for Windows users. They get confused with the Mac version, it's still called DeepGuard (image below), as F-Secure may be maintaining a "version of", hybrid of it for Mac's. Then AI does apologize and confirm my correcting them 😅

But maybe the Mac deep guard is different of that of Windows.

I was considering F-Secure a few days ago & was looking at prices, in the end I went for ESET, but its still a viable option.

You're exactly right, F-Secure is not for the faint of heart $$. You can get some excellent pricing from 3rd party vendors for the likes of ESET, and McAfee.
My last order for ESET from Stack Social and for F-Secure from their website (9 days ago), below. The amazing thing though it didn't make up for the price, was last time with F-Secure I wanted to include the VPN with my I.S. the add on module for the ~9 months I had left, for 3 devices was~$6.00. total.

I got F-Secure free with my old ISP Virgin Media up to a year & a half ago, but I did use it years ago but the program was very different then.

It was, back when I tried it in 2011? from my ISP, Charter (Spectrum) it had a different UI (not exact, i.e. rebranded looking), and was one build behind the paid version I had installed on my PC. I had tried it about a year ago, just to see, and it was spot on with the paid version, just with the Spectrum name at the top left of the UI.

I was able to extend my license for a while for a pittance with Virgin, they still use it, called Advanced security, 3 months free then its (£35 a year UK Pounds) unlimited devices, I think Virgin use F-Secure on their systems for free if you opt in, called Essentials I may return to them next year if they give a good deal???

And with me, don't ask why I don't 😅 but I.S. is free with my Spectrum internet subscription. But in all seriousness, I just like to install, monitor, uninstall if I get an Avast/ESET itch to install without all the drama of going through Spectrum's website. I'd rather pay for the convenience of it all being done on my PC. That way, I can also use F-Secure support if needed, going straight to the source :)
