Mozilla published today the final release of the Firefox 131 web browser, which is now available for download from the project’s download server ahead of the official release on October 1st, 2024.

Firefox 131 looks like an interesting update introducing temporary site permissions, such as geolocation, which will be automatically removed after one hour or when the tab is closed, and support for text fragments to allow users to link directly to a specific portion of text in a web document via a special URL fragment.

This release also improves the built-in translation feature by remembering languages that were previously used for translations when suggesting a default translation language and re-introduces the ability to navigate to the search engine home page by clicking on the search bar icons with a SHIFT key modifier.

On top of that, Firefox will now display a visual preview of a tab’s contents when hovering the mouse over an unfocused tab. The new tab preview feature can be disabled in Settings > General > Tabs by unchecking the “Show an image preview when you hover on a tab” option.

Firefox 131 brings several new features and improvements. It introduces temporary site permissions, improved built-in translation, the ability to navigate to the search engine home page by clicking on the search bar icons with a SHIFT key modifier, and a visual preview of a tab's contents when hovering over an unfocused tab. You can download it from Mozilla's official server.

It looks like they broke List all tabs preference when they refreshed it's icon. I hope they fix it in next release, as I don't want to modify userChrome.css.

Do you mean the about:config preference to hide the 'List all tabs' button (Tab overview menu)?
Yes, I too noticed the about:config preference no longer works.
I use this userChrome.css code now:
