Thanks for suggesting WF. I will try it once they roll out the Win ARM64 version as I got 2 machines running WoA. The rest are x64.

Anytime within this year is acceptable.
I want Adblocker native and integrated just like Brave.

Which is a nice feature in Brave, in not needing another extension as far as being integrated in Brave, is more efficient using less resources than an extension.

Unless a person is using a DNS, normal AV browser extensions, or embedded AV online protection won't work with these unsupported forked versions, or some of the other more obscure browsers as well, like Floorp, correct?

I’m not entirely sure what you meant, but Waterfox has its own “Encrypted Oblivious DNS” and supports all Firefox add-ons. While installed antivirus software might not explicitly recognize it, it will still be protected by them.

If you haven't tried it before, Waterfox essentially combines Firefox ESR with the BetterFox user.js profile, Oblivious DNS, and Brave Shields. Rather than reinventing Firefox like other forks, the developer focused on enhancing privacy while maintaining usability and ensuring websites don't break.

And Waterfox is a mature project with over a decade of development; the only drawback is that it sometimes lags behind in receiving the latest updates, similar to other forks.

They follow whatever Chrome does on this matter. I remember a Firefox employee once saying on Reddit that when some average users see that Chrome is at version 100 while Firefox is at version 60, they think Chrome is more up to date and Firefox is old. So having a version number similar to Chrome is important for Firefox.

To enable it, simply:
