New Update Flyoobe (formerly Flyby11)

FlyOOBE 2.2 is here!

  • Polished the action buttons with a modern compact mode: show icon + label by default, then switch to a sleek icon-only look while active (just like native Windows 11 apps)
  • Further sped up app startup and trimmed memory usage, not that it was ever a bloated XAML/WinUI monster like the Windows 11 Start menu or Explorer… but hey, every millisecond counts (yes, Im currently at war with Microsofts performance choices. Maybe one day theyll fix real performance issues instead of adding another glowing Copilot button. And honestly, it hurts watching an OS you once loved slowly being run into the ground by the wrong priorities and decisions; lets see how long it takes until they manage to chase me away to another shore as well)
  • Flyby11 is back in its classic outfit inside FlyOOBE: the UpgradeOOBE (Flyby11) UI has been simplified and brought closer to the original look, while the built-in Autopilot has been upgraded to guide you more autonomously through the Windows 11 installation
Note: The ConsumerESU script from https://github.com/abbodi1406/ConsumerESU/
is currently unavailable on GitHub (either removed or temporarily blocked, similar to a past false-positive suspension that also briefly affected my own profile)

FlyOOBE 2.3 is here!

  • I mentioned this in the last FlyOOBE release: I’m going to take care of CrapFixer as well. The plan now is to connect both apps a lot better, because CrapFixer is simply better at some things than the OOBE part inside FlyOOBE and vice versa, FlyOOBE is still the all-rounder.
For quick debloating though, CrapFixer is the better tool, so it’ll be taking over a few modular functions. especially some of FlyOOBE’s advanced/extended stuff. I’m announcing that here in FlyOOBE now, and the upcoming CrapFixer release will learn about it too. So this release lays the foundation for FlyOOBE ↔ CrapFixer interconnect. Internal structures were prepared so both apps can communicate and share modular functionality more cleanly going forward
  • Laid the groundwork for a multilingual UI.
No promises on timing yet. Im not sure when I’ll get to it, or whether CrapFixer or FlyOOBE will get it first. It's a lot of tedious work… you probably believe me

FlyOOBE 2.4 is here!

Happy New Year

As we head into 2026, I want to say thank you to everyone using and supporting FlyOOBE.
In 2025, FlyOOBE reached nearly 2.5 million downloads on (only) GitHub and became one of the most popular and requested tools for Windows 11.

Your feedback, issues, and ideas helped shape the project throughout the year.
Let's see if we can do it again in 2026.
