I came from WFC, uninstalled and restored WF rules to default. In Hyper-V VM, I made "termservice" trackable and have the corresponding program rule. However, I can no longer remote in, even with filter disabled. If I disable WF, then I am able to RDP. What am I missing?

This WF rule exists but is not enabled, I need FF to enable this rule:

FFw does not work with WF rules like WFC, but has own settings.

So if you use both WF and FFw, then make sure that you allowed a program/service in both firewalls. Otherwise the program will be blocked by either firewall.

Sure, I get that, but how then can anyone install FF from within a remote session and have RDP working? I'm sure I can't be the first person to try this, but I must be missing something obvious. What is needed besides allowing the termservice service?

I don't use RDP, so sorry I don't know. And you're first one with such issue.

Anyway you have to:
- make sure that RDP works without FFw
- fresh install the FFw - it'll temporary run in Auto-learn and will auto-create allowed rules for running connected programs

You can use System Informer program's Firewall tab to monitor connections and which firewall's rule blocked them.

I re use FFw...

I try to import the parameters but they are not displayed, the file type is not correct from my old configuration.

What should I do?

Sorry, it's in French but understandable I guess.

here's what I see on the USB stick (image 1), and when I try to import via FFw (image 2).
