DoesNotBelong is a lightweight and specialized program for additional system scanning that compliments the main antivirus. It helps to identify threats not detected by the main antivirus and may be useful if you suspect an infection despite a “clean” scan result from other scanners.

Thanks for sharing this information. DoesNotBelong indeed seems like a useful tool for an extra layer of security. It's always good to have multiple defenses against potential threats.

I'm the author and just wanted to announce that the tool is up to v9.7.5 and has many updates in the past year. A recent major one was having the tool quarantine items instead of deleting them. A changelog has also been available for some months. I hope its users have been enjoying it. It's been fun updating it

This software is always quarantined by Windows Defender. Always. Not sure if you can fix this?

I have submitted several false positive reports, and I think as the tool is getting more popular they haven't been flagging it as much or others are also submitting false positive reports which helps A LOT.

For reference from latest versions on their virustotal reports:
I know the detection though is usually something like Program:Win32/Wacapew.C!ml, which you can read about on Microsoft's site here. A note I think is worth pointing out, it is a heuristic detection. Is this the detection name you see on your end as well?
