Bought license for 1 year , 3 devices for like 14$. Android versions working well, but windows version even after cleaninstall is pretty bad peformance wide. Apps taking forever to install / some apps failing to install...i just gave up.

Then i did cleaninstall on my main desktop. wanted to try zonealarm next gen on it. Well i could not activate the license because all 3 seats were in use. Normally i just live chat zonealarm support to release seats. I emailed them, and 2 days after still no answer. I guess im not using it ever again, so i asked for refund, even its only 14$. Its been 24 hours now after refund and still no answer

Their website has mention that livechat is available 247 5x a week mon-friday . But live chat on their site doesnt even exist anymore, and they wont reply to emails. I have no clue what happened to them....

The features of zonealarm are top notch, but it just doesnt work when analyzing files takes forever and the overall performance is so bad its not even fun to use computer, as it doesnt function like it should be.

I guess the harmony endpoint is alot better, but as normal consumer, i was willing to stick to zonealarm next-gen

This is not a rant, just fyi to anyone that is probably thinking about buying next gen, dont waste your money on it just look for alternative

If you are in a different timezone, you wil NOT see the chat function. Make sure you contact them in their Timezone. Or they might be sleeping, closed..etc

Contacting support won’t help because they use terrible license management platform and they’ve got no access to remove a device or to even see.

The best they can do is send an email to someone.

I don’t think Check Point is too interested in the ZoneAlarm brand.

In the past, like half year ago i contacted them via live chat, got my 3 licennse seats removed and could set up the pc up again.

I have checked at morning, mid day and at the night the live chat is just gone, even it says it exists.

Only way to contact them is with email, but they dont answer even its been like 3 days now. In the past i got the refund message within 24 hours last time.

Zonealarm next- gen has potential, but its sadly not getting enough attention from checkpoint as you said

Yes, I can confirm I am also not seeing the chat.

Before upon visiting there was an immediate popup invitation to start chatting.

When agents are not available, it used to create a ticket.

Seems like this option is gone.

I thought I'd check on my end US, just in case, no Chat pop-up prompt until I refreshed the page (8:00 AM). I disabled Cloudflare WARP, just to make sure that wouldn't interfere with anything. Maybe the time zone, Chat hours thing?

I tried Zonealarm next gen a few years ago after it first came out....never again, the slowdown was absolutely attrocious, Gaming absolutely couldn't happen under it.

Both Zonealarm and Dr Web are too heavy on system resources and both cause a very noticeable system slowdown.

Though no updates have officially been reported by ZoneAlarm (expert rules for the firewall with port configuration and all these bells and whistles coming next + anti malware Yara rules), I decided to test it today quickly.

The situation with the super long malware remediation and the long EFR (Endpoint Forensics Recorder) activity seems to be resolved.
Previously, after malware remediation, the EFR CPU usage used to go as high as 50%.

In HEP, the EFR memory usage, as well as redundant operations were reduced.

ZoneAlarm seems to have been updated too, looking at the task manager now...

Allright, got them contacted with live chat, firefox tracking protection was pretty much blocking it

Told them about problems i had with next-gen and they offered me free 6 months of license. refunding wouldve taken up to 5 days of messaging with them within email or 1day throught livechat ( probs hour or two taken) i did not refund this time, i give it a try later probably if it improves

3 devices 1 year of zonealarm next gen is 14$
3 devices 1 year of kaspersky premium is 20$

Even zonealarm is cheaply priced i go with kaspersky for now as it has no problems with the software

Just letting you guys now they have released 4.4 version of Zone alarm next gen, no changelog on website, but the customer support gave me link so im sharing it this way. Signature is dated on january 6th. giving it a spin in sec. I got the 6 months extra license from chat too, and love the customer support alot, even i have had my problems with ZANG

I dont think its improved at all, but maybe im rushing a bit so i just installed it on secondary laptop and let it run few days , maybe do some web browsing + light gaming on it meanwhile.

After clean install if the first thing you install is ZANG, it takes forever to set up pc right. Just set up it ready and then let zonealarm run on it and let it settle down a bit

ps. anti keylogger was gone from this version, and something little new stuff got added
