Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.
W11 25H2 files are live since last week. Until MS announce it officially, hold the upgrade so it saves you time.

Unless you don't mind doing a test trial and error with the bypass, feel free to go ahead and learn.

At the moment,i am doing the upgrade to version 24H2. I prefer to avoid the latest for unsupported devices to have a resolution for any known issues, as 24H2 has been released for a while and still has support till mid-2026. i am curious about security patches not quality improvement

it finishes successfully

From my perspective there is no such thing as linux alternative to Windows. My mom only used the browser and cards (Solsuite) and I could not find any linux to fit it.
The problem is not the learning curve for me, but a lot of purchased and activated software, which i need to find an alternative and it consumes time (This laptop is not used frequently ) i just want to keep it secure when it is used

Since it's an old machine, try to optimize that to make it run smoother by:
1.Disabling services which are not needed using services.msc
2. Install latest drivers by using Driver Booster
3. Keep using Defender or any light 3rd party AV
Thanks for advice.i am using AVG AV free / i am downloading a patch from Windows Update ( i may check Driver Booster free)

Try just restarting your computer and checking for updates again. Usually, it's just trying to install an update that is already on, or that it doesn't need. If this still happens after a few hours, try doing another in-place Windows upgrade.
