Serious Discussion Google deleting a Yahoo account of mine?

This is really weird. I got an email from Google that states: Your Google Account is being deleted. But the account is (I am making the name up) abc123@yahoo.com. Yes, it is a Yahoo account that I do have but use. What is this all about? Google canceling a Yahoo account of mine, and one that I use???

When I use gmail account as recovery email for outlook mail account; when I delete outlook mail account, I get a notification message on gmail telling my outlook email account was deleted.

Another possibility is, this is some sort of phishing email. Check the DKIM, DMARC, and SPF checks to see if those fail. I have used two different sites that may make the header is easier to understand:

* Message Header Analyzer

ps: The account emails I get from Google are mostly(all?): no-reply@accounts.google.com

If you created a Google account with an email that isn't Gmail it will appear that way. Just log back into your Google account using that email.

I don't know if you still can because the industry started to blacklist aliases and throwaway email addresses but I could back in 2021. But I have a very old account that was originally a YouTube account only so Google allows you to uncouple it from everything else. I don't think they let you do this with new accounts anymore.
