Google set the SSL encryption as a default search for google users. After few weeks, the users will be redirected to secure google search(https://www.google.com).

If you are not signed in or not google user, you can still use by visiting https://www.google.com directly.

I noticed this just before. I've had my home page set to https://encrypted.google.com/ for months. No need to change if they're both the same.

Cheers.

I have seen that you have that you used that before in one of your videos. what is the difference between them?

I've had Chrome's default engine set to https for a while. Nice that this will be default.

google.com loads on https for me now....don't know how much I'll benefit from this because I'm not using a WiFi....but still there is an advantage for malwaretips.com ...
In the blog post that announced this feature Google also talked about the advantages for webmasters

What does this mean for sites that receive clicks from Google search results? When you search from https://www.google.com, websites you visit from our organic search listings will still know that you came from Google, but won't receive information about each individual query. They can also receive an aggregated list of the top 1,000 search queries that drove traffic to their site for each of the past 30 days through Google Webmaster Tools. This information helps webmasters keep more accurate statistics about their user traffic. If you choose to click on an ad appearing on our search results page, your browser will continue to send the relevant query over the network to enable advertisers to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns and to improve the ads and offers they present to you.

No doubt more and more sites will go Https in the near future.

I'm using https for Facebook. But, I didn't see a difference.

what else you expected ? a shiny fireworks that says : "YO dude you are on an encrypted website, congratulation" ? :D

@win7holic
It is not just change in browser bar alone('s' is just indication that you are using secure connection). The data will be encrypted so your it will provide security on your privacy. if you want more info, then just google as SSL

Yeah, Your config is secure enough and you're using "Common Sense" like you said before but, How can you even say that you're using "Common Sense" when the only thing that you know about HTTPS Browsing is that it changes the browser bar? You lack a lot knowledge and that means, Your "Common Sense" doesn't make sense at all. Don't speak to me like you're the mature one, You don't know to whom you're talking to.

because,
I just use it for 3days lately.
Please stop judge my common sense.
Do not connect it with my common sense.
Me and you. is difference.
my common sense is make my system still safe.
you know, even you use a lots security or HIPS. if your common sense FAIL. it will be infect your machine (NOT all software is perfect, even a human also (me too)
but, I'll do my best for keep my system clean.

you must learn about lot of facts, child.

Guys, you are off topic... Two wrongs does not make one right.
