Any info on when 5.0 will be final & will Hasleo start charging for the product? Which now from my point of view after giving 5 beta a good workout is as good for most as Macrium etc?

The following information said by the admin is from 11-27-2024 "Hopefully this is the last beta version of V5.0 and no more features will be added to V5.0. "
V5.0 Beta 1 has been released, here is the download link:
https://www.easyuefi.com/backup-software...Beta_1.exe

Change logs for V5.0 Beta 1:
1. Added feature to backup files on network mapped volumes
2. Improved the feature of enumerating network shared folders
3. Allows you to choose whether or not to save your network access credentials
4. Fixed bug: Failed to restore NTFS to a small partition
5. Fixed some bugs to improve product quality

Hopefully this is the last beta version of V5.0 and no more features will be added to V5.0.

I'll stick with Macrium X and gladly contribute to future improvements and development. In this day and age, nothing has to be free. People don't work for free, they need to get paid. Just like Antivirus software, But God speed to Hasbro, it's a good product from what I hear.

OK, I really like this backup program, but I do have a question I would like to ask. Something I have been wondering is this ... why the heck does hasleo need to remove the old version (Including WinPE.) when updating to a new version? Is there a specific reason for it? I am curious to know.

Yes that is what I don't like too, maybe someone registered on their forum might asking them 🤷‍♂️

Their answer:

In fact, there is no particular reason for this, this is the standard software installation process, and we don't have time to complete the feature of installing only updates.

Well at least they notify about it now. Previously I updated and then I had to restore an image, because of a corrupt install and Boot menu was gone, I had no USB, so I had to reinstall.
It takes only about 1 min overall, 30 secs to install and 30 secs to recreate boot menu, if you have downloaded WinPE image before, but I sometimes ignore updates for this reason alone.

Yes, it does not take long, but I was curious as to why this way. :) Oh well, at least now we know.
