Looks like the previous version 5.4.2.5 is the last FREE version without changes... according to the Dev on their Support Forum:

OK, thank you, then there is no need to download the new version.

Hi,

I would like to try the Hasleo V5.4.2.4 free version.
Is there still a (trusted) download link available somewhere?
Most of the links point to newest version.

I also have a question, does Hasleo backup/restore run from within the active Windows OS itself or does it use a seperate boot OS to be able to unmount all drives (to avoid having an active Windows OS running)?
I know that CloneZilla Live does the latter (runs from its own bootable DVD in Linux OS) which I like.
Just wondering if Hasleo can do the same.

I would like to try the Hasleo V5.4.2.4 free version.
You can download it from the following URL.
https://web.archive.org/web/20250930235131/https://www.easyuefi.com/backup-software/downloads/Hasleo_Backup_Suite_Free.exe
You can run it from within Windows or create a bootable USB flash drive to run it.

Hasleo can have a boot option on start up as many image programs (the wait time can be adjusted in config, minimum is three seconds) & or making a start boot USB should Windows fail at boot up, IMO both are a good idea

@Sorrento, @roger_m,

I have downloaded the Hasleo V5.4.2.4 exe from both links and compared both exe, they are identical. (y)
Good to know that it can be run from bootable USB flash drive too, I'll give it a try.
Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much, I had lost the installation file for version 5.4.2.4 somehow.

I already updated via Winget before coming into this thread. I'm not seeing anything different in the 5.5.2.0 version. It says free version as before and not seeing anything asking me to pay. I haven't created a backup with this version yet.
The only difference I see is that the previous version had two Hasleo services, this version has one like it used to many versions ago. So now I only have to stop one service and set it to manual mode. I only do manual backup when required.

Will the free version continue to be updated and be reliable to backup and restore or is it better with paid version like many other products?
As the basic backup/Restore functionality is shared by ALL versions (free and paid), one can assume that any upgrades to these would also be updated in all versions. Further, a Cold Backup or Restore (via the boot disk) would be the same across the versions.

It is the same version for all versions, but with limited functionality as per version. So when one is updated, all is updated.

Does there exist a Hasleo V5.4.2.4 WinPE iso version which can be burned on CD/DVD or put on USB flash drive directly and boot straight away from it?
Or do I have to install Hasleo on Windows first (haven't done that yet) and create an WinPE iso with Hasleo myself?
I would like to have to not install Hasleo on the OS when it is possible to boot from iso directly.
