Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

I have carried out the instructions as advised and the file Fixlog.txt is attached.

I think the BuyNSave malware problem is resolved. Chrome has also updated to the latest version (Version 40.0.2214.111 m) which was not happening earlier. However, Chrome does seem to be slow as I had experienced before. But I think I will have to observe for some more time before I can say anything for sure regarding the slowness of Chrome.

Please see the Fixlog.txt and confirm that the problem is resolved.

Thanks !

Help !
After yesterday, the system has become very, very slow. I removed my existing anti-virus software (Trendsetter) as I found that it is not helping at all and initially tried to install AVG anti virus which was available as a give way in the MalwareTips site sometime back. The installation failed. Then I tried to install the avira trial version which also failed. Is some malware preventing anti virus software being installed in my system ? How do I proceed ? Please guide.
