Do you remember any of the name of files or folder in our old user profile?
If you remember it go for a Windows Search and find where is that file is located.

Run this Tool to unhide your files and folders....

Unhide.exe

If it is not working
Login to your new Account Bloodberry and Check if you can see Folders inside C:\Users\TEMP OR C:\Users\TEMP.Anneli-VAIO

Don't forgot to change the settings as in the picture, in your user account Bloodberry ...

In c:\users\bloodberry\TEMP and \TEMP.Anneli-Vaio there's only the AppData folder. And Unhide doesn't work on either account. Same error: "Folder does not exist".

Each of the folders you listed is 64 KB in size.

TEMP.Anneli-Vaio.008 is ~26 MB.

Bloodberry is ~400 MB.

When the virus struck the computer wanted to do a system restore or something, not sure since I didn't recognize everything. But it was cancelled at some point by my wife before I had a chance to do anything.

Maybe that's why Unhide doesn't work?

Shortcuts and such isn't a very big deal. The most important thing is to get rid of the corrupt account and to get access to the files in the default "Downloads" folder.

Okay.

What is the Total Used Space of your C Drive?

Send me the screenshots of View Tab of Folder Options and Properties of the C Drive.......

Login to your New User account.
Create a Folder on your computer Desktop called My Old Data.
Goto the Download Folder and Move all of the Files in that folder to the folder My Old Data.

Now go to the folder

c:\users\bloodberry\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\libraries\

pic7.jpg

There you can see your some old pictures as well.. Move that one also to the folder called My Old Data.

Do you remember any other name of your personal files? If yes try to search that one using the Widows Search Options... Please wait for some time after you hit search.. It will take some time to complete the Searching...

Hi,

Go to Folder Options once again and change the settings as follow... (You need to select the Second Option, the one in Red)
2zy8ztx.jpg

Then press on Apply -- > Ok

Now open the folder options once again and make sure the settings are correct as in the image...

Now check for the folder Found.000 as shown in TreeSize Free

Open the Folder C:\Found.000\dir0002 and C:\Found.000\dir0003 and check what you can see inside that one?

Hey, it works. With "do NOT show hidden files and folders" I can now access the c:\found.000 directory. I can now see all the files from the "Downloads" folder in dir0002.chk and dir0003.chk. Yay!

Do you think just moving the files to a real folder would work?

great to hear that it workes. :) sure move all of your personal files from that dir0002 and 0003 to your new user profile. Let me know if u are facing any problems.

Please make sure you move them. Not copy and paste. Cut it and paste it, to your new user profile.

Thanks for all your help!

Iäm currently in the process to restore all the files. But I'm not sure how to get the recycle bin to reappear on the desktop (it disappeared as well). Any ideas?

To show or hide the Recycle Bin on the desktop

Open Personalization by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Personalization.

In the left pane, click Change desktop icons, and then do one of the following:

To remove the Recycle Bin from the desktop, clear the Recycle Bin check box.

To display the Recycle Bin on the desktop, select the Recycle Bin check box.Click OK.

Let me know if you need any more assistance.....
