I prefer to use and would still recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

- Free without limits (compared to HMP)
- Least FPs (compared to EEK and CCE)
- No large downloads (compared to EEK and CCE)

Amen to that. I experienced HMP with false positives, especially my home-grown apps.

Like @Littlebits I start scanning with an updated MBAM but I do it in normal mode

Back to the OP, It's okay to have more than 1 on demand scanner for me, why? so you get a higher chance to detect what others may miss. Another of my on-demand scanner is Avira Portable
