How safe are iPhones?

Thanks for the replies. I guess she'll get what she wants since it's almost her 18th B-Day.
Probably its better to buy the phone she wants for birthday, she shouldn't regret buying 6s when ip 7 comes out. Either way it would be better if she likes the phone to just work, then you must go for an iphone nonetheless. But never buy that smart battery case.

Safe as in how? Privacy, the ability to exploit the device? Depends on what you mean by "safe" Androids I'd say are less safe than others given everyone trying to exploit them. Same goes for iphones. In terms of exploit-ability they both are basically in the same arena. Hard to do but not impossible. @McLovin most people are completely unaware their phones have been exploited when they are. Example: 15% of all android devices were infected with stage-fright and not a single person knew about it! All of my family also uses apple devices even though I dev on android's lol. It really depends on the how good the malware coders are and what device they decide to go after IMO. Apple's supposed impenetrable iCloud got hacked due to the way it worked and an obvious security hole in the handshake between the users account and the cloud itself. And then there is idict as well which brute forced peoples accounts on iphones. There was also the MITM iCloud hack out of China. So they are both equally as vulnerable. For kids most of them want what their friends have which is an iphone :D

I would be concerned, "safety wise", about battery charging etc!!
Many incidents where the thing has exploded on charging etc!
Same as many other phones,unfortunately!!
Be safe with privacy etc,but be vigilant about the hardware itself;):)

PS:I once had a phone heat up in my pocket,to the point where I thought my jeans were on fire!!:p

Be safe with privacy etc,but be vigilant about the hardware itself;):)
