How to install IPV6 on Windows XP

To install IPv6 on your Windows XP computer, follow these steps:

  • Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
  • At the command prompt, type : netsh int ipv6 install and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
  • Close the Command Prompt window.

How to uninstall IPV6 on Windows XP

To uninstall IPv6 on your Windows XP computer, follow these steps:

  • Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Command Prompt
  • At the command prompt, type : netsh int ipv6 uninstall and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
  • Close the Command Prompt window and restart the computer.

Well the other way is in the picture if you click install and you will find protocol and find IPv6 while in uninstall just click Ipv6 and click uninstall button
 
Currently there aren't many exploits for IPv6 but this might change in the future. Also you need to make sure your router/software firewall supports IPv6 and it is able to filter those packets. At this point I see no need to enable IPv6 support in XP.
