PeerBlock is better as an IP Blocker, rather than protecting your Torrent habits.
So, is there any use left in PeerBlock? (short answer: no...) Here's what I think: • /r/torrents

• Blocks too many peers
• Impossible to block all malicious / spying IP addresses
• Doesn't encrypt your data
• Doesn't hide your IP address

I agree it's not airtight but it's a great help with keeping 'bad peers' out the door.
A VPN does a better job indeed but there is a higher cost...

I have used torrents in the past. The most secure way for this stuff is not to do it though.

The second best option is to use a private community. Preferably a small one. You may find additional tips here.
