If you had to choose a 3 piece security combo, what would it be?

I am currently using the ff.

- Bitdefender Free (doesn't slow down my PC, no popup notifications)
- SphinxSoft Windows 10 Firewall Control (free version, to block outbound of selected software)
- Malwarebytes Free (secondary scanner)

I added the following to the browser:

- uBlock Origin
- Noscript

plus a few more, like Cookie Controller and others.

If you had to choose a 3 piece combo for your security system and performance. What would you choose?
Not a security suite.
Firewall + Antivirus + Misc.

If on Windows 10, I would choose Shadow Defender along with Appguard(excluding Backup software and SysHardener)

If on Windows 7, I would choose a good security suite like ESET, Shadow Defender and Appguard(excluding backup software and SysHardener)

- AV: avast free or kaspersky free
- syshardener (1-time setup) and unchecky
- 2 browser extensions: BD trafficlight and WDBP

this combo keeps many PCs I set up safe for many years without any infection
the only problem is with malicious extensions which are not covered by any of the above apps
only zemana ondemand scan can detect them

If I had a Windows system, my configuration would look like this:

1. Smart-Default-Deny
  • Hard_Configurator or
  • VoodooShield or
  • Comodo Firewall
2. online protection
  • An AdBlocker e.g. uBlock Origin or
  • Browser protection from Emsisoft or Microsoft or
  • VPN with adblocker and various filters
3. functional backup of the system and private files in the cloud or locally

= all the programs on the system should be up to date
