Hello,
I'm infected by something but I can't understand what it is.

Some days ago I found my browser presented some ads and an extension I didn't install. Also there was a program install I couldn't uninstall.
I ran the Avira antivirus and it found some infections that were quarantined.
But the problem keeps coming.
I tried following your guide here http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-browser-redirect-virus/ but I couldn't run Roguekiller cause it blocks and stucks my pc and I have to reset and restart it.
The other programs found some infections and now malwarebites says I'm free of infections.

But I'm still infected, I have again the extension (this time is called gifter, before was cheapncheap and before something else) which I uninstalled but I can't get rid of it more than a day, next time I restart it's there again.

I'm sure you can help me, I'm really pissed off by this and I really can't understand where and how I got infected.

Can you help me?

Thanks!!!!

I think this is what is causing trouble. And I can't uninstall it cause it keeps saying I have to close my browser even though it's closed already.

Hello!
sorry for the delay, here's my log. I have a question. When you say both FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location, you mean frst64.exe or frst.txt? I hadn't the frst.txt in the same location but only the fixlist.txt and frst64.exe. is it ok?

I guess it's OK!!!

the extension is not present. I still have the program in the list of installed but this time when I try to uninstall it it says that he can't cause it's probably already uninstalled, windows can't uninstall do you want to remove it from the list?

Should I delete it form list?

Same thing happended with the "cheapncheap" program some days ago after I run all those antivirus programs from that tutorial I found here, but then came the gifter.exe..

I have Avast free, ok AV.
Malwarebytes is excellent.

Download DelFix by Xplode and save it to your desktop.
  • Run the tool by right click on the
    51a5ce45263de-delfix.png
icon and Run as administrator option.
  • Make sure that these ones are checked:
    • Remove disinfection tools
    • Purge system restore
    • Reset system settings
  • Push Run and wait until the tool completes his work.
  • All tools we used should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)
The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.

Also something weird happens lately: I can't save files on my desktop anymore, nor I can't access it like when I try to upload a file here on the forum. I had to do all previous operations in the download folder.

Chrome. But for example, earlier I was trying to save this link on the desktop and it didn't work, but now that it's ok after a restart, BUT I can't still access files on the desktop when trying for example to upload a file here or open a file in photoshop and so on. it's like it gets stuck.

To be true that was something happing for a bit, (I noticed it in photoshop) that was crushing or got stuck trying to access the desktop opening a file.
I'm not sure it's related to a virus, maybe it's just a problem in my pc, I thought it was a problem in photoshop but now that the browser does it too I think it could be something else. It really like it can't even see the files it doesn't even access desktop folder.

I still can't access desktop trying to locate fixlog and I had to move it to download folder.

As I said To be true this was something happening since a bit, (I noticed it first using photoshop) Each time I was trying to access the desktop opening a file that caused photoshop to get stuck and needed forced closing.
I'm not sure it's related to a virus, maybe it's just a problem in my pc, I thought it was just a problem in photoshop but now that the browser does it too accessing the desktop I think it could be something else.
