Yes I saw a few problems over on the Comodo forum as well,. seems like a clean install is needed but that BSOD due to running the cleaning essentails has been around for a couple of years and I`ve experianced it myself back then so God knows why it`s still included?:rolleyes:

Don`t hold your breathe Shadowra waitng for a Comodo reply but good luck with it anyway(y)

Uhm, yea. It wen smooth without any problems until I updated my PC. System crashed while the Windows update was installing and I wasn't able to recover it. Had do reinstall Windows in the end. I am not 100 % certain that Comodo was the cause of it, but I am pretty sure as this never happened to me before.

Good evening. In this 2027 version, how do I get the internet working for my sandbox in Comodo?
What configuration steps do I need to take to make it work?

Hello @New_Style_xd,

This behavior also happens in the previous version of Comodo. In recent versions, anything running inside the sandbox is isolated from the Internet, as @Sephirothnight mentioned in post #68.

If you need Chrome or another browser to have Internet access while running inside the sandbox, there is an alternative solution that was discussed in another thread: remove "Windows Sockets Interface" from HIPS → Protected Files.

Keep in mind that this reduces part of the isolation, because as @Andy Ful pointed out, it also allows contained malware to use network services.

If you prefer to keep the strongest isolation, then using Windows Sandbox or running the browser outside the Comodo container would be the better option.

The Comodo sandbox prioritizes isolation; the lack of network access is a consequence of that approach.🧱🌐

Thanks for the clarification.
I’ve seen people on the Comodo forum saying that if you switch to the "Internet Security" profile, the connection is automatically restored, whereas the "Proactive" profile blocks it.
I tested it myself, but the connection remained blocked regardless of the setting—yet others claim it works. I’m completely confused now.

How Containment operates with regards to Outbound Network connections was changed rather dramatically with this new build. Previously one could (would) get a Firewall alert if an unknown attempted to connect out whereas now such connections are silently blocked. It is important to note that this will occur on either Internet or Proactive configurations but NOT with the Firewall configuration.

So- change to the FW config in Settings and run any of your browsers virtually. You will get a FW popup- just allow and click remember.

I just ran a test with the firewall profile, but as the image shows, there is still no connection.
All the applications have been allowed, yet there is still no internet access.
