New Update Introducing Comodo Internet Security 2027 V12.4.0.8170

Comodo has become no relevant in this world now, I tested this version and found that if your browser starts before comodo than that session is not filter by comodo at all till browser is open, so it means that any programs runs before comodo starts then no protection at all,

If I'm correct, the programs running before Comodo starts have no internet access.

App Review Thread 'COMODO Internet Security Pro 2027'

COMODO is an American publisher, well known among computer geeks.
The software presents itself as a totally free security suite, offering defensive shields: anti-malware, firewall, HIPS and a sandbox.
We got the software first, so here's our test!

Let’s take a closer look at all of this.



Interface :

The interface is identical to that of the 2026 version. The new feature is in the configuration: Comodo now includes EDR!

I'm unsure if Comodo configurations or settings play a role here; are you using the default "Internet Security" config, or is the firewall set to "Allow Requests"? I always used the "Proactive Security" setup; programs like Microsoft Office would show up (blocked by firewall) in the "Unblock Application" section.

I am using proactive with comodo white listed allow and rest is block

All the more reason to include it, me thinks :unsure: and while we`re on subject of renaming why didn`t they just change the HIPS to Host Invasion Protection System or HIPS🤓

I have no idea, to be honest. But that's not the only thing... (I saw a BSOD case on the Comodo forum)
A member of their forum actually posted my review there; I don't know if Comodo will contact me (they might :D), but I don't think so ^^

I am pretty sure that the BSOD is related to the reported compatibility issues. And I am also pretty sure they won't be fixed soon if ever.

Why would Comodo contact you? They believe they're being generous for offering Comodo for free and I believe they won't devote more resources to satisfy Comodo fanboys. The resources are reserved for their EDR product and it will stay that way.

One day the consumer product will put to rest in peace. That's inevitable.

Unfortunately, that's what I think, too.
I assumed they might contact me mainly so I could report all the bugs and issues I've encountered (ESET does that, for example), but as I said, I don't think they will—they've given up on Comodo entirely...
