Thank you, I appreciate that a lot! It truly saves me at least 10-30% of time. Once I finish up with CyberLock and DefenderUI I will probably update TB+.

I am not sure what you mean by "It would be good if you make the taskbarplus tab on the windows taskbar smaller. Or just have the taskbar plus icon without the text name beside it. " Do you mean you think the TB+ Tray Icon (looks like a hamburger menu) is too big? I actually made it to match the size of the search icon for Windows 10 and 11, mainly because it is kind of a utility icon similar to the start menu and the search icon. Are you able to quickly draw out what you had in mind, or explain it so I know exactly what you mean? Thank you!

I am using a custom taskbar on windows 10. I'm not using the windows 10 default taskbar. I've attached a screenshot of what your TaskBarPlus looks like on my computer. I have to leave it on my taskbar in the bottom left corner all the time to open it. You can see I have your DefenderUI in the systray. I thought it might be good to have the option to also have TaskBarPlus minmise to the systray. I think if I just had the little hamburger menu icon in my taskbar instead of the text, too, it would take up less room.

Oh, I see. When I use the default windows 10 taskbar, the taskbar plus icon does indeed look like I want it to haha! See the attached screenshot. So it's my fault. When I use Retrobar (a custom taskbar program), the icon shows with the text beside it as you see in my other screenshot. No big deal!

I see what you mean, thank you for the info! Yeah, we should just add an option for a tray icon. If I have not updated TB+ in 3 or so weeks, please feel free to email me at support at taskbarplus.com and I will add a tray icon, assuming there are no major obstacles.

I decided to knock this one out real quick... there is now a tray icon. I was going to add an option to hide the tray icon, but Windows 11 already has that option ;). Please let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestions, thank you!

The more I thought about it, I think for your setup you really need the option to show or hide the taskbar icon, so now there is an option in the right click menu of the tray icon to hide or show the taskbar icon. I was going to put this option in settings, but it made a lot more sense to put it on the tray icon menu, for a lot of reasons. This is not super well tested, so if there are any bugs or tweaks we need to do, please let me know, thank you guys!

TaskbarPlus .57 is perfect :)
Very cool, thank you! If you think of any other features to add please let me know. We want to keep it as simple as possible, but if we can think of some cool features, we might add them. We might add a super light hardware utilization monitor for CPU, RAM and SSD / HDD., and also a feature to check the SSD / HDD Smart status every hour or so and notify the user if there is an issue with one of the SSDs / HDDs. We also might add a feature that automatically wakes drives when the user is actually using the computer, but lets them sleep when the user is not using the computer. It drives me crazy when my HDD D: drive is sleeping and when I go to access it, I have to wait 10 or so seconds for it to wake up. I mean, it is good that it sleeps when I am not using the computer, but when I am using the computer I do not want it to sleep. These are kind of hardware utility type stuff, so I am not sure these features belong in TB+, but I personally would love them to be part of TB+, that way I do not have to run the other two utilites that I wrote to monitor hardware utilization, monitor Smart status and wake my drives when necessary (BottleNeck and DriveAlive). I have not released DriveAlive because it is an old project I worked on years ago and not ready for release, but here is BottleNeck: Advice Request - BottleNeck 1.0

Here is a screenshot of the right side of my desktop. Some people use Rainmeter for some of those things you suggested. I have, too. I think people wanting to see cpu/ram will always want it on display. Seems like that would be difficult for Taskbar Plus, at least for me, because I keep TaskBarPlus hidden until I need it. When I said above that taskbarplus was perfect, I meant it. I really can't think of another single thing I would want on it for myself. I had a program called Rocket Dock that I was using, but I uninstalled it since your program does more for me.

@danb yeah, as so many others have stated, that Bottleneck prg is designed well. I like the way it looks in the taskbar. On your suggestions about keeping the drives awake, you are right. Them going to sleep and waiting for them to wake is incredibly annoying. I was so annoyed by it so much that I completely disabled them going to sleep in the windows settings.

I'm really liking Eset LiveGuard for submitting files. As with BottleNeck, it was analyzed within minutes. Now, time to run the TaskbarPlus installer. Thank you, danb :)

@danb I love it, you even included a Control Panel shortcut :) And it picks up on my default browser for the quick links. Even the installer notification is very professionally done 👏 edit" God Mode, LOL :)

Thank you, I appreciate that! It really does save me tons of time... I have become a lot more efficient with coding, and it is much more enjoyable. But TB+ is certainly not for everyone... it is mainly for power users or users with tons of data.

You might like to compare it to Biniware Run, just out of curiosity.
Yeah, they are kind of similar, Biniware Run is very cool. I just wanted extra taskbars because I was out of room on my Windows Taskbar, and I also wanted to be able to customize them to my liking, and have the ability to add items that you cannot add with Windows Taskbar, like notes, folders, network links, etc.

@danb Actually I did think of one more thing to request :) When the icon is set to display on the taskbar, If there was an option to set the menu to open up/pop up when the mouse hovers over the icon instead of us clicking on it to open it, that would be a nice setting.
Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately there is not a built in method to detect when the mouse is hovering over the taskbar, so we would have to implement a hook, which is doable, but probably not worth the extra code. I think it would work well depending on where the TB+ icon is... but if the TB+ icon is in a place that is hit by the mouse a lot, I think it would open TB+ a lot of times when it is not supposed to.
