Enabling the low power consumption and connectivity capability of modern standby is a test and validation challenge for the system integrator. All components in the system—hardware and software—must work together to quickly turn power on and off while being able to maintain connection to the network.

Starting with Windows 8, the modern standby power model enables applications to stay fresh, up-to-date, and reachable whenever the user has allowed them to always run in the background and a suitable network is available. For more information, see Modern Standby.

Windows supports modern standby only on low-power PC platforms that include low-power hardware and meet Windows Certification requirements. Systems that are not specifically designed for modern standby continue to use the traditional PC power model, which is fully supported in Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. This section pertains only to PCs that implement the modern standby power model. It does not provide test guidance for PCs that implement the traditional ACPI Sleep (S3) system power state.

Verifying if a system is Modern Standby capable:
You can use the powercfg /a command (in CMD or Powershell window) to identify if a system supports Modern Standby.

My result:
The following standby mode functions are available on this system:
Standby (S3)
Idle state
Quick start

The following standby mode functions are not available on this system:
Standby (S1)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

Standby (S0 Low power - idle)
This standby state is not supported by the system firmware.

Hybrid standby mode
This standby state is not supported by Hypervisor.

-> Sadly: No
