Our servers that host the repos at mxrepo.com (Salt Lake City) went down last nite and they have not come back up. We have escalated a support ticket and hopefully this will be resolved soon. We’ve been with this service for a long time and we are surprised at how long its taking for the servers to come back up. This is not a DDOS attack, nor a domain name registration problem, its a problem with the hosting service.

As of this writing, our other mx-controlled mirrors remain up and running (la.mxrepo.com, it.mxrepo.com, nl.mxrepo.com) as well as the regular third-party mirrors (mx-repo-manager for the current list).

Reactions: Zero Knowledge
The notice indicates that the Salt Lake City repository host is experiencing a hosting-service outage, not a DNS, domain, or DDoS issue.

Until it is restored, users should avoid repeatedly retrying the unavailable mirror and use the listed working mirrors or an up-to-date third-party mirror configuration. Package metadata and mirror integrity should still be verified through the normal repository-signing and checksum mechanisms.
