Constant monitoring of ccleaner.

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

Uninstalled

Has anyone notice that CCleaner after recent update always starts on windows start and always monitor your activity. Even after turning off the option for monitoring. That seems a bit suspicious to me and I uninstalled it till I can figure why it is doing this. Anyone notice this and what is your thoughts or suggestion on it?

Did you roll back to 5.44? Use the Portable version and you won't have any issues.

Yes it's well known issue with the latest update. The pulled the latest update due to backlash, but I would have a read through the thread that @root/ linked above to see why.

I have stopped using CCleaner months ago.
No perfomance impact at all, in fact I think the computer is smoother.

@root/ advice is definitely recommended. If you like CCleaner still, use it if you wish.

Avast surely kill CCleaner. Most people don't like CCleaner when Piriform begins to add more craps into it. You either choose Windows Disk Cleanup or 3rd party alternative to CCleaner like Wise Disk Cleaner, Privacy Eraser, etc....
