I think there's a thread about that here in MalwareTips. Just use the search bar for this.

For me, if you want the best protection from Kaspersky (Internet/Total Security), just enable Trusted Applications Mode. It's a default-deny model of protection of Kaspersky. Trusted applications are allowed to run, while untrusted/unknown are blocked. But of course, this comes with a caveat: more "false positives", because of potential blocking of legit applications with low number of users.

Enable Trusted Applications Mode - follow Kaspersky help file on it; it is recommended to do it after a clean install of the OS and fresh install of all softs.

If anything is identified as Unknown\Untrusted by Kaspersky, then you have enable it manually after the TAM system scan.

There is a setting for Interactive or Verbose mode - that's for the HIPS; it generates HIPS alerts. HIPS alerts are disabled by default.

Enabling HIPS alerts for Kaspersky will make for a busy user experience - but it is the only way to learn the HIPS.
