Kaspersky is a Russian publisher with a strong reputation in the world of cyber security.
It presents itself as a very comprehensive product, for both novices and experts, with a wide range of settings.
Let's see what it can do.

Interface :

The interface is quite colourful, with a colour code: green if all is well, yellow if the risk is minor and red if the risk is major or if threats are detected.
Kaspersky is left with its default settings.

Web protection: 10/10
All links are blocked by Kaspersky

Fake crack : 1/1
Kaspersky blocks the launch by behaviour (PDM:Trojan.Win32.Bazon.a detection)

Malware Pack : Remaining 21 threats out of 86
Kaspersky once again proves its performance by blocking all the threats I run.
It also blocks unknown threats and scripts before infection!
At the end, a Trojan is blocked by System Watcher for malicious behaviour (PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic detection) and offers advanced disinfection, which I accept.
On restart, no malware is present.

Final scan :
Kaspersky : 0
NPE : 0 ( 1 false positive : My hosts)

Final opinion:

Kaspersky is a very solid security solution that is always up to date with the latest threats and will protect you.
One thing I really liked: it now indicates which module is reacting (Cloud, database, human analysis, etc.) and uses its defensive modules very correctly.
Of course, Kaspersky is still one of the best and can be recommended.

world class solution does not need any validation. Still thank u for testing

Remember, you adopt "Zero-trust" policy; this includes AV, never completely trust your AV, someday it will fail you.
The P in Kaspersky's PDM stands for proactive. Users must also be proactive. The proactive defense module is a module that monitors the sequence of actions conducted by an application in the system, and if suspicious activity is detected, the application is blocked to prevent it from conducting further activity. If an object is detected by the PDM, the name of the object begins with the “PDM:” prefix.
Think of PDM as the bouncer at the club: it’ll kick out troublemakers, but if you keep holding the door open for malware, the party's still getting wrecked.

Bottom line: Digital hygiene is your first line of defense. Antivirus is your backup—not your babysitter.:ROFLMAO:

Kaspersky free has majority of important features of the paid product so it's an excellent recommendations
Because false positives are so,e of the lowest and security is excellent

Thanks, glad to see Kaspersky still performing very well!
Always did it's usually top 1 throughout the years and sometimes top 3 but recently it has been losing some tests to vendors like eset (still top 3 )

The main reason of the backlash about Kaspersky is politics (KGB ties ) and tlnot because the product isn't excellent

Kaspersky free + osprey + checkpoint extension (zero pishing) would stop almost every threat meanwhile having low false positives and the very low cost of "free"

if you don't care about false positives here are some reputation based blockers that are excellent addition against zero days that might bypass everything above (smart app control /Comodo)

Other useful tools that can be added to reduce attack surface ( GitHub - AndyFul/Hard_Configurator: GUI to Manage Software Restriction Policies and harden Windows Home OS , GitHub - neohiro/ExploitProtection: Windows Exploit Protection Settings (Ultimate) GUI)

Information for everyone, politic topics shouldn't be discussing on forums otherwise parts of comments regarding that might be removed sooner or later...
Thank you for your understanding.

Yes IMO, top 3 Antivirus solutions are

1. ESET ( Excellent, fast, lightweight )
2. Kaspersky ( unavailable on Google Play Store )
3. Bitdefender ( however performance issue )
I got a giveaway key for ESET recently and after a restart eset disabled my internet and i had to reinstall eset and now it is working fine.

And the first two being the more stable, glitch free apps over the long run of their being installed and used, besides @Khushal above install glitch.
