Kaspersky is a Russian publisher with a strong reputation in the world of cyber security.
It presents itself as a very comprehensive product, for both novices and experts, with a wide range of settings.
Let's see what it can do.
Interface :
The interface is quite colourful, with a colour code: green if all is well, yellow if the risk is minor and red if the risk is major or if threats are detected.
Kaspersky is left with its default settings.
Web protection:
10/10
All links are blocked by Kaspersky
Fake crack :
1/1
Kaspersky blocks the launch by behaviour (PDM:Trojan.Win32.Bazon.a detection)
Malware Pack :
Remaining 21 threats out of 86
Kaspersky once again proves its performance by blocking all the threats I run.
It also blocks unknown threats and scripts before infection!
At the end, a Trojan is blocked by System Watcher for malicious behaviour (PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic detection) and offers advanced disinfection, which I accept.
On restart, no malware is present.
Final scan :
Kaspersky : 0
NPE : 0 ( 1 false positive : My hosts)
Final opinion:
Kaspersky is a very solid security solution that is always up to date with the latest threats and will protect you.
One thing I really liked: it now indicates which module is reacting (Cloud, database, human analysis, etc.) and uses its defensive modules very correctly.
Of course, Kaspersky is still one of the best and can be recommended.
