Advice Request Kaspersky Free causing ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE

no, it will ignore all https sites => lose 1 layer of protection
file shield and behavior shield will handle the files if they are malicious

Kaspersky will still block malicious websites and downloads, you'll lose access to Secure Data Input, Safe Money, Private Browsing, URL Advisor, Anti-Banner and Parental Control in the browser though.

Well, Kaspersky URL Advisor feature will not work without the browser extension even I enable script injection and encrypted connections scan :sneaky:. Kaspersky still able to block malicious HTTPS sites without script injection and encrypted connections scan enable?

yes. I can confirm it with proof
tested with 50 https phishing links, web shield only, file shield was disabled
with "Do not scan...", it blocked absolutely nothing
enabled "scan encrypted..." it started to block a lot of links

of course it doesn't affect http links

Did you select scan encrypted connections when the protection components request or Always scan encrypted connections? Which one do you prefer?
 
I think the issues is not only part of Kaspersky, it was fixed in the last version (`K2019b patch) and now with the last Chrome version again issues :unsure::unsure::emoji_thinking:

I used the default settings for the test. I really hate "always scan..." because it broke so many websites and caused many problems to my programs. never use it, highly not recommended

Correct (y) It works without the extension.
I've the extension installed, but don't know if there is any benefit for the free users other than acces to the on screen keyboard.

Don't have patch c yet, but the error is back unfortunately.
The problem for them is probably inconsistency.
It went away and I think without any change it's back :devil:
I will inform them and hope for the best...
