Nope, we have to download always the latest (updated) version of KVRT, otherwise the latest signatures aren't included... that's the biggest downside!

After 7 days KVRT is notifying a warning : “This version is absolete : Update now”

It looks like new version uses cloud detections also - that's why database size got optimized.
When you start it up you have to agree with KSN statement, which means that it probably sends data back to cloud also.

If you don't have internet connection it will give you this warning when stating it up:



So we can safely say that KVRT has become cloud dependant with this version.

EDIT:
Another change in this version: after scan is finished you have to reboot your system if you wish to delete KVRT2020_Data folder from C:. That folder contains driver that is loaded so a reboot is required to unload it. In previous version you could delete KVRT's folder without reboot.
