New Update Kaspersky\VPN\KSOS 21.26 (MR26) & KES 14.1 (Betas)

What's new in the latest version of the application 21.26:

The latest version of the application introduces the following new features and improvements:
  • Arm-based computers are now supported. However, the application has several limitations described in this article.
  • Improved the appearance of Windows pop-up notifications from the application, providing more flexible and effective communication with users.
  • Implemented display of the subscription price when purchasing or renewing the application.
  • Anti-Banner. Added support for new languages in the filtering rules that are required for banner blocking on sites using those languages.
  • Shortened the interval between initiation and actual computer reboot to enhance user experience while installing the application.
  • Introduced a restriction on exporting application settings: the operation is now available only to administrators and privileged users.
  • Detection of pages associated with financial pyramids, pawn shops, and other suspicious websites has been improved. Access to such pages is now prevented even when the security verdict is received with a delay.

Installers not available yet...

Some country installers may take longer to be available. I posted some country examples of links also for KSOS and KVPN, for the rest of countries, just edit the link and change the section of language, example: /es-es/ -> /en-gb/

Hello: I just updated to the new version 21.26.4.406 using the provided installer. Depending on your current version or product key, it installs either Kaspersky Standard or Kaspersky Plus. I'd like to ask:1- How long will it take for the new version to install automatically? Days, weeks?2- To install the new version, is it better to wait until the Kaspersky Standard and Kaspersky Plus installers are available separately on the Kaspersky website?

1.- It may take days and/or weeks 😂 since They always deliver the new version gradually.

2.- I think this online unified installer it is used for the online updating, and as You said, it can install any of the versions depending on the subscription of the user.

New protocol in version KVPN 21.26:

AmneziaWG is a fork of the WireGuard VPN protocol designed to evade deep packet inspection (DPI) systems by disguising VPN traffic as common UDP protocols like DNS or QUIC. It uses dynamic headers, randomized packet sizes, and padding to make traffic patterns harder to detect.

Overview of AmneziaWG Protocol

AmneziaWG is a modified version of the WireGuard VPN protocol, specifically designed to enhance privacy and security by evading deep packet inspection (DPI) systems. It achieves this by disguising VPN traffic to resemble common UDP protocols, such as DNS and QUIC.

Key Features

Traffic Obfuscation Techniques

AmneziaWG employs several advanced techniques to make its traffic less detectable:
  • Dynamic Headers: Each packet uses a random header value from a configurable range, making it unpredictable.
  • Randomized Packet Sizes: The sizes of packets are varied, complicating pattern recognition by DPI systems.
  • Padding: Random bytes are added to all packets, further obscuring their true nature.
Protocol Mimicry

AmneziaWG can mimic legitimate traffic patterns, which helps it bypass censorship measures. It can disguise its packets as:
  • DNS queries
  • QUIC handshakes
  • Other common UDP protocols
Performance and Security

AmneziaWG maintains the high performance of WireGuard while adding these layers of stealth. It operates efficiently, making it suitable for various devices, including mobile and routers. The protocol's design ensures that it remains effective even in environments with strict internet censorship.

Conclusion

AmneziaWG represents a significant advancement in VPN technology, combining the speed of WireGuard with enhanced capabilities to evade detection. This makes it a valuable tool for users seeking privacy in heavily monitored internet environments.

Yes, new 21.26 installers should be now available in official K. websites per country region (/downloads#update-product) and also via My Kaspersky.
