Unfortunately, only major browsers are supported by Kaspersky Web-Antivirus:So I take it Kaspersky 21 "Web Filter" doesn't protect Brave browser?
I checked with the eicar test file and it downloaded and then the file detection had to do the cleanup.
Basic web filter should work. I mean, if you visit a malicious site that is known to Kaspersky then it should be blocked but HTTPS scanning don't work on Brave at the moment. Btw, not just Kaspersky some other major security suites also don't support Brave yet.So I take it Kaspersky 21 "Web Filter" doesn't protect Brave browser?

Please explain the difference between HTTPS scanning and basic web filter. I suppose I don't have the answer myself.Basic web filter should work. I mean, if you visit a malicious site that is known to Kaspersky then it should be blocked but HTTPS scanning don't work on Brave at the moment.
IP based filtering VS scanning the content of the actual page? Please explain the difference between HTTPS scanning and basic web filter. I suppose I don't have the answer myself.
From Avast: "HTTPS scanning protects your PC against malware delivered by TLS and SSL encrypted HTTPS traffic when you browse the web."IP based filtering VS scanning the content of the actual page?
I guess I understand the HTTPS scanning, but is it necessary if a basic web filter blocks most known malicious pages? Kaspersky is tops at adding bad pages, but is that because their filter detected them and reports home? From Avast: "HTTPS scanning protects your PC against malware delivered by TLS and SSL encrypted HTTPS traffic when you browse the web."
