I agree, VMware seems to be way more stable then Vbox, had nothing but issues with Vbox since coming to windows 10. For snapshots one can just as easily use Rollback Rx Home Edition "it is free" to supplement the lack of snapshots in the free version of VMware. Although RX Pro has more features and is a worthy investment.. Both RX and VMware work real nice together.

Snapshots aren't really a big thing for me. I don't use much of VMWorkstation anyway :)

  • Changed AVG to Avast Premier (Better detection ratio IMO)
  • Removed AVG Tuneup, added disk defragmentation pro and EaseUS partition master.
  • Added backup solution (AOMEI Backupper Free, every 3 days = 1 backup!)

Amazing Config! I always recommend avast! and Malwarebytes is perfect to use with it, I recommend adding Zemana Anti-Malware, Zemana Anti-Logger and HitmanPro

Out of curiosity: unchecky
is it really needed? I understand that the system is shared but does everyone blindly install everything without checking whats actually ticked on the tick boxes? Please do not misunderstand me, I am in no way criticizing. It is a valid question.

Its better safe than sorry imo. You're point is valid, and yes, I always read what the installaion states, and I don't "blindly install everything" In fact, I rarely install programs anyway. But I am human and sometimes I miss things.

You're statement is almost the equivelent of saying "Why have an anti-virus when I'm smart online and don't randomly download things or visit insecure websites?" Just in case. Most likely no one needs a security software on this forum. But we still have it just in case. We are human.

@KokoKid One recommendation is that you don't activate HitmanPro, keep it de-activated if you need it to remove something remove it then delete HitmanPro in appdata, you will basically have a lifetime license :) One more thing should I use Unchecky and can you upload a pic of its RAM and CPU usage? Thank you!

Pretty light, only uses around 1MB of memory :) This is one of those programs that you install and forget :)
P.S. Handwriting using mouse is the equivalent of having a horse without horseshoes ;( sorry my handwriting is bad :)

Firefox uses 300MB on average, might as well get Unchecky :)

Stopped protection from Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit
Added Hitman Pro.Alert (Trial)

So far, I absolutely LOVE IT! Will defiantly ditch Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for HitmanPro.Alert after the trial is over!

Removed Zemana Anti-Logger, HitmanPro.Alert covers that.

Currently installing Windows 7 to dual boot my PC. Will most likely make a different config for that.

1) SOB (Smart Object Blocker)
2) Voodoo Shield
3) Secure Folder

Avast is a more-than-decent real-time protection software package.
You included excellent virtual machine software, so malware testing is covered too, as well as backup software and regular backups.

Well, what can I say! You've got everything well-covered! Great config!

EDIT: Clean Installed Windows 10. New config, less bloated! Old config in spolier!

I removed several things that I don't normally use, such as VMware Workstation 12, Sandboxie, and Malwarebytes Premium (Licence ran out.) I also stopped downloading malware samples and stopped visiting phishing sites, so there is no need to have VMWorkstation 12. Sandboxie TBH I never used, and probobly never will. Malwarebytes stays as an On Demand Scanner.

As an result from a clean install, I am noticing a reasonable amount of speed boost. Computer boot time went from around 4min~ to 2min~ (My PC is old..)

I will be dual booting Windows 10 with Windows 10. Wait! Let me explain! So one Windows 10 version will simply be for school and looking up youtube videos, checking the forum, etc. Bascially a productivity OS. This one will have the secured config above. The other will be ONLY for gaming, with no other programs except for Steam, f.lux, and (maybe) HitmanPro.Alert. Nothing else will be on that OS. (Not even main AV, not needed, as I will only be downloading games from Steam) I think this will be best for increased performance and no other programs slowing down my PC :)
