I have been using Lastpass for over a year now, even through the "breach". It is one program that is a permanent part of my arsenal now, i wont be without it. I recommend it to everyone also. One thing i always tell them as a precautionary, is to make sure they keep their main e-mail password, out of Lastpass, as in the case of the "breach", many were locked out of their accounts, and were not able to access anything. Worse case scenario, if something like this happens again, and you have your main e-mail account separate, you have a way to change passwords for sites if need be,and there is always their "standalone" tool "Lastpass Pocket" to access your passwords directly on your computer off line.

@AmazingAG: that's not a con. That's how encryption works.

I know it gives an added security and nobody except me can access my passwords(not even the lastpass developers). Its a Pro alright but definitely a con too. You cannot ignore that.

It's not they're fault if you forget the master password, they warned you to use something you can remember since you're not going to be able to recover it, because of this I won't include it as a pro or con since it really depends on the user.

This is exactly right, it does depend on the user. :D It is why I mentioned maintaining your main or "default" email outside of lastpass, as a way to recover should something happen, considering most sites you visit that require a password, will have your e-mail in case you forget your password.

A pro or a con doesn't necessarily depends on anybody's fault, it depends on how the program works. Anyway i am myself a lastpass user :D for sometime now. Just want to put this point forward. You did a good job in the review .

how does it work with sandboxie?

It works fine with Sandboxie.

After installing LastPass, the next time you start Sandboxie it will automatically recognize that you've installed LastPass and ask if you want to have it add an exception for you. This will allow you to make changes to your password files even while sandboxed.

A feature I strongly dislike is how AutoLogin could potentially hand over your login credentials to a fake web page under the main domain (ie. customname.mainwebsite.com)

Isn't that a subdomain? As far as I know it is still under the control of the domain owner (owner of mainwebsite.com).

Well its my first time to used LastPass and I must to say its impressive.

The setup just take in a less time and if you have an account of course just sign in. Made activated Autofill and Autologin since I just put only the website that were daily to use.

Disable the firefox password manager in the setup. Very easy to use and flexible as I can store secure note and only a master password needed.

Autologin saves the time and automatically log in to a certain website.

I've been using RoboForm for like a decade. Some software is just worth buying. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of freeware, I gave LastPass a spin in a VM and a couple of Cons that turned me off.
  1. Importing from RoboForm was incomplete in many cases. Ended up recreating logins in LastPass to resolve.
  2. Logging into my bank fails period with LastPass. (This was a deal breaker).

I can't get LastPass to login to my bank either.

However, Roboform really annoyed me when my "lifetime license" only lasted up to version 6 of the software. Then when version 7 is released, "Oh, you need to buy a new license which will need to be renewed every year, but you can continue using version 6 as long as you want!" :s

Yeah, no thanks Roboform... Hello LastPass...
