Set UAC to always notify to prevent UAC bypasses.

Your system is hardly at danger.
What Gandalf say + move to 64Bit OS. You can't use your 8GB with 32bit OS and 64Bit ia also more secure

Norton Power Eraser or Emsisoft Emergency Kit or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware are 3 recommended 2nd opinion scanners usually. Unless you know your browsing habits are fine and system clean, no need really for all 3 but then again at least 2 of them are portable so no harm in having.
Hitman Pro if you willing to pay. I prefer the above three over Hitman Pro

Norton Power Eraser is prone to false positives or just flag files that are not known as threats, so not recommended for standard users...

they seem to be active. their last update was 5 months ago. change log is very busy. and they sent me some beta testing emails a while back. did you hear something I missed?

Rest In Peace zemana it was a good run. In my mind it’s officially dead now... Sadly, I must agree. Since v3 the product changed and not for good. They promised a marvelous re-engineering of the product and it's literally the same, only now FP are insanely higher and even if you report them FP...

So, great that they are still working on it, but the lack of communication and their lack of detection is a bit worrying.
Why keep it enabled/installed on your system?

Zemana was a good program a couple of years ago, pity it's gone downhill, I also liked the interface.

Except that most or all of the updates since 3.0 have been minor, or languages, etc. Their descent was precipitous.
