That’s why I use Bitdefender Free on all my family’s machines. We’ve never had an infection. I used to use Kaspersky but switched to Bitdefender after the USA ban.

Wow, didn't realize that. And that is factor we consider for our personal devices as well, performance and system impact.

It can literally drive a device to a crawl if you start playing with hyper detect and so on. And the used memory is 800-900 megs.

It is and a No for me too.
No wonder it's called Gravity. Pulling things down due to "heaviness"

I’ve been running Bitdefender Total Security for well over 10 years with practically zero infections. My current desktop rig is going on 7 years old, and I don't even notice BDTS running in the background, no sluggishness, no hitching. For daily personal use, it’s still the best overall AV in my book.

Trident. Nice to see you back. Desktop been using McAfee for the past year with great success, and it has been quiet as a mouse.
Recently though it has been giving me the shi#s with constant popups to sell their version of Ccleaner.
Open to alternatives.
