Yeah thought so, so they have reneged on lifetime licenses they sold back in the day basically. Make it impossible to activate = win for them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to test those keys for me! It's sad to see Malwarebytes pulling these kinds of shady tactics on legacy users, but your test completely proved the point. You and the folks here just saved me from wasting money on a useless key from that Reddit seller. Truly appreciate your kindness and generosity anyway! This community is the best.Yeah thought so, so they have reneged on lifetime licenses they sold back in the day basically. Make it impossible to activate = win for them.
Not exactly... as long as you're the original purchaser and can provide them with supporting documentation they still honor the lifetime license.Yeah thought so, so they have reneged on lifetime licenses they sold back in the day basically. Make it impossible to activate = win for them.
Yeah but how do you provide them with supporting documentation when it's a 15 year old online purchase? PayPal records and credit card records are long gone or archived. Not exactly... as long as you're the original purchaser and can provide them with supporting documentation they still honor the lifetime license.
I'm just not sure what they hope to achieve? May as well let people activate lifetime licenses as much as possible. I don't think they going gangbusters with new subs.If you have a legit lifetime license and can prove you purchased it they won't renege. However there are people who buy a lifetime license that is only allowed to be used for 1 computer and people were using it on multiple computers, when they try to activate it again after a period of inactivity it then Malwarebytes will not let get away with it again. In the past they were turning a blind eye to people who used a license on multiple computers, not any more. A legit lifetime license will always be honoured.
Thank you so much for your incredible generosity and willingness to share your lifetime licenses with me in the first place!Yeah but how do you provide them with supporting documentation when it's a 15 year old online purchase? PayPal records and credit card records are long gone or archived.

I'm sure how healthy their books are, but I can't imagine they are challenging CrowdStrike and co. May as well use the lifetimes for telemetry.
