Hello Malwarebytes community,

Malwarebytes version 5.5.5.253 component package 155.0.5587 is now available.

You can get the update right away by clicking "Check for updates" in Settings > General. Or, it will be automatically installed if you have automatic updates enabled.

What’s new

  • Users can now mute notifications for specific apps while their connections to malicious websites continue to be blocked
  • During onboarding, users can now scan their device and check their online exposure at the same time
  • Minor improvements to webcam monitoring notifications
  • Minor improvements to the device activation flow
Issues fixed

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Real-Time Protection to show multiple notifications for the same file
  • Addressed minor display issues affecting translated text
  • Solved an issue with File Shredder when trying to delete an app that was still in use

I have a lifetime license for MBAM, but I still found it too heavy on system performance for my taste, but I like how agressive it is against web threats and PUPs.

Nice to see that it is performing well for you.

Nowadays the only solution that don't annoy me is Microsoft Defender, oh well...
