Parental Controls seem to be provided under Safe Family, which is available for iOS, Android and Windows. It is included as well with Total Protection (at least in the UK) but I am not familiar with the trials.

McAfee Total Protection and LiveSafe (which I’ve been having for years and not using till now) were all upgraded to the new architecture (R100+ versions, previous one ended at R53, current is R131). They were also all migrated to the new online accounts and everything. The plus plans which McAfee so hardly tries to push, include NortonLifeLock-like features (identity restoration, insurances and others).

All versions under R100 don’t work, they can’t connect to the GTI.

I'm sorry about your brother. God, reading that made me think, my eyes filled with tears. In real life I'm short-tempered with my brothers, always fighting with them, and when they leave I thank God that those disgusting people are gone. I hope this will change the way I deal with them from now on. Fighting is part and parcel of siblings, but it's not about holding on to hurt feelings, and I have feelings too - can you imagine me losing one of my siblings? what would my conscience be like? We have to be like children, if you say something, forget it, we're our own blood.

Parental controls is only available with the McAfee+ Family plan. It's not available with individual subscriptions.

That's a good question, are you talking about the AV Gui from the module or from the security console? Because I couldn't find it in the McAfee GUI.

For me with McAfee its still early days & I've adopted solutions before that have not worked long time - But It does seem pretty good - My main issue is the amount of people who trust my judgement on PC matters who I have told Mcafee is an unmitigated piece of garbage in no uncertain words - Humble pie for me & not for the first time, I will of course slide into this carefully (I will of cause try to blame Shadowra for the great review) Sorry about that!

Its sad that McAfee has such bad reputation because of malwertising. I created reddit account not so long ago to post on reddit about people complaining mcafee and even suggested it for some of people and what i got was like 100+ downvotes

Meanwhile people complain about McAfee being heavy still these days even its cloud based now, same people that complain probably has exitlag and different types of pc performance boosters etc installed ( lots of other bloatware that makes their computer run like crap)

Sure if you buy new computer, it has trial McAfee installed and you enter card details and purchase it for full price wich is afwully expensive you may think that you have been scammed.

I can happily pay 3 usd a year for mcafee, for that price its excellent choice of antivirus

Same story with TM, i just stick with it. It works, cheap and no ads or nagging.

I've already jumped on board to give it a try. The lack of configurability is stunning. It's about as simple and set-and-forget as the built-in Microsoft Defender interface. I love McAfee's new branding, however. Beautiful typography and tasteful illustrations reinforce a clean, friendly aesthetic. I would be even more content with the addition of dark mode.

It's blazingly fast and light. Installation, startup, and everything else are accomplished right away. AV-Comparatives' last Performance Test published in May ranked it as the single lowest impact product on their system:

WebAdvisor is also a welcome addon for me, which I remember from way back (SiteAdvisor). First impressions are all around quite good.

I got those AV but on my Machines this is the reverse order for system impact.

I had no trouble uninstalling 2-3 times. As to ads, not sure.

Trident knows me as the antivirus uninstall and re-install king if MalwareTips gave an award for the person who installs and uninstalls antivirus software id own it. With that being said my point is i'v never had trouble uninstalling or re-installing McAfee. I've had some bugs but never was i unable to uninstall the program.

yes I saw that, $119 renews 30 before current license expires, for basic essential. I have not spent any time in my acct, but I think they said you can disable auto-renew.
